Glories of Turkey Travel Package Duration: 12 Days / 11 Nights Highlights: Istanbul, Bosphorus, Cappadocia, Antalya, Pamukkale, Hierapolis, Ephesus, Pergamum Departure Dates: Everyday Note: All Turkey travel packages are modular & we can customize these itineraries to accommodate your personal requirements and desires to find your perfect holiday in Turkey. Day 01 Arrival in Istanbul Hosgeldiniz (Welcome to Turkey!). Upon clearing customs and immigration, you will be greeted by our company representative who will arrange for you to be driven to your hotel.Remainder of day will be at your leisure. Overnight in Istanbul Day 02 Byzantine & Ottoman Relics Tour 08:30 pick up from your hotel to visit the Hagia Sophia a 5th century church, once the greatest in all the world. The next stop is at the Blue Mosque renowned for its striking blue Iznik tiled interior. Afterwards, visit the ancient Roman Hippodrome. Following a lunch break in the old town, visit Imperial Palace of Topkapi from which Ottoman Sultans ruled their grand empire for over 400 years and visit the Suleymaniye Mosque. Tour finishes around 17:00, transfer back to hotel. Overnight in Istanbul Day 03 Bosphorus Cruise & Two Continents Tour 08:30 pick up from your hotel to visit Spice Market and followed by a boat cruise through the Bosphorus, the strait dividing the European and Asian continents, Following lunch break in the afternoon, visit the luxuriously opulent Dolmabahce Palace, the last residence of the sultans. A drive to the Asian part of Istanbul crossing the Intercontinental Bosphorus bridge to visit Camlica Hill The highest point where you can overlook Istanbul and take nice pictures. Tour finishes around 17:00, transfer back to hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. Day 04 Flight to Cappadocia / North Cappadocia Tour After checkout, transfer to Istanbul Airport, for the morning flight to Kayseri (Cappadocia). Upon arrival in Kayseri meet and transfer to Cappadocia. After a short break, depart from your hotel to visit Devrent Valley to see the unigue fairy-chimneys and Pasabag (Monk's Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Contunie to the town of Avanos for lunch break. In the afternoon day will follow visit another beautiful open air museum visit at Goreme, where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Lastly, before returning to your hotel, visit the natural castles at Uchisar. Overnight in Cappadocia Day 05 South Cappadocia Tour Depart from your hotel to visit Red valley,and explore the famous rock- cut churches and hike through the Gulludere valley (Rose valley). Then visit Cavuşin village, famous for the houses and churches of the christian clegymen. Continue to the pigeon valley for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit Kaymakli Underground City, where early christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back visit the natural castles at Ortahisar. Overnight in Cappadocia Day 06 Travel to Antalya After breakfast, check-out and travel to Antalya with with non smoking, fully air-conditioned intercity day coach.The duration is 10 hrs (aprx) Day 07 Antalya Tour After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to visit Perge antique site in detail; Stadium, Roman Gate, Nymphaeum, Roman Bath, Hellenistic gate, Colonnaded Main Street and the Agora. After lunch on the Köprüpazari stream, you'll visit Aspendos Theater and the Historical Aqueducts. Final visit of the day is to ‘’Side’’ which is one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey with an ancient harbor and sandy beaches. Overnight in Antalya Day 08 Travel to Pamukkale After ceck out, you will be transferred to Antalya bus station for the 4 hrs public coach drive to Pamukkale, where you will be staying at a thermal hotel and have the chance to enjoy thermal pools. Overnight in Pamukkale Day 09 Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour After breakfast pick up from your hotel drive to Pamukkale visiting; Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis with the Temple of Apollo, the breathtaking Theater, the fascinating Necropolis and the last the great baths of Hierapolis antique city, where St. Philip was martyred. St. Philip is connected with the early church in Hierapolis and played an important role in Pamukkale the history of the city. You will have time to enjoy calcium terraces and pools. After the tour, you will be driven to Kusadasi with tour coach. Overnight in Kusadasi Day 10 Ephesus Tour The tour begins by visiting the remains of the Artemis Temple, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Afterwards, it proceeds to the spectacular main site of Ephesus, undoubtedly the most superbly preserved Greco-Roman city. Unmistakable highlights surviving among the ruins are the Celsius Library, Agora, Theater, Odeon, Trajan Fountain, Domitianus Temple and Roman Latrines. Following a lunch break, visit the House of Virgin Mary; reputed to be where she spent her final days. Overnight in Kusadasi Day 11 Pergamum Tour / Flight to Istanbul Check-out and proceed to Pergamum where you will visit Asklepion and Acropolis with steep Theater, the Sacred Way, the Serapis Temple, the Red Basilica complex and the Altar of Zeus. After the tour, you will be transferred to Izmir Airport for the flight to Istanbul. Meet your guide in Istanbul Airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Istanbul Day 12 Transfer to Istanbul International Airport After you have checked-out from hotel, we will arrange for the transfer to Istanbul International Airport for your return or onward flight.
