Honeymoon Package Turkey Duration: 12 Days / 11 Nights Highlights: Istanbul, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Fethiye, Cappadocia Departure Dates: Everyday / By Flights Note: All Turkey travel packages are modular & we can customize these itineraries to accommodate your personal requirements and desires to find your perfect honeymoon in Turkey. Day 01 Arrival in Istanbul Hosgeldiniz (Welcome to Turkey!). Upon clearing customs and immigration, you will be greeted by our company representative who will arrange for you to be driven to your hotel. Once check-in to your hotel is complete, remainder of day will be at your leisure. Day 02 Imperial Istanbul Tour Your day will commence with the Imperial Istanbul tour, which includes a visit to the ancient Hippodrome; Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, Fountain of Wilhelm II; The Blue Mosque; Hagia Sophia Museum; Grand Bazaar; Topkapi Palace and Rustem Pasha Mosque. After the tour, your guide will arrange for your return to your hotel, leaving you to enjoy evening at your leisure. Day 03 Bosphorus Cruise & Two Continents Tour Pick up from your hotel to visit Spice Market and followed by a boat cruise through the Bosphorus, the strait dividing the European and Asian continents. Following lunch break, drive to the Asian part of Istanbul crossing the Intercontinental Bosphorus bridge to visit Camlica Hill, the highest point of Istanbul, where you can take the best photos of the city. Before leading back to your hotel, visit the Beylerbeyi Palace, the summer residence of the Ottoman sultans. Overnight in Istanbul. Day 04 Flight to Izmir / Ephesus Tour Check-out from your hotel in Istanbul and transfer to the airport for an early morning flight to Izmir. Arrive at Izmir airport and depart for a full day tour of Ephesus. Firstly, we visit the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Then proceed to the ancient city of Ephesus where you will explore some of the best preserved theatres, fountains and buildings in the world. A definite must while in Turkey. Of course, not to be forgotten is the House of the Virgin Mary on top of Bulbul Mountain, a pilgrimage site for many people of all denominations. Day 05 Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour Early in the morning you will depart from your hotel and travel to the Hierapolis Ancient City, which houses Pamukkale ‘’Cotton Castle’’. This natural phenomenon leaves thick white layers of limestone and travertine cascading down the mountain slope, which resemble a frozen waterfall. There will be free time to walk on the terraces (where allowed). After the tour you will be transferred to your in Pamukkale, which will give you the chance to enjoy the thermal pools. Day 06 Travel to Fethiye After checkout, you will be met at your hotel for the 4 hrs drive to Fethiye. With your arrival and check-in to your hotel, remainder of day will be at your leisure to enjoy beautiful beached of Fethiye. Day 07 12 Islands Boat Cruise Once you come to Fethiye, you have to go on 12 Islands Boat Cruise. The hundreds of double-Decker boats you see in Fethiye as you wander around the marina and the harbour, are ready to take you to this tour. Each has a capacity from 50 up to 150 people and all of them has toilets and a self-service bar; and most of them are built in the dockyards in Fethiye. They depart between 10:00-11:00 every morning and come back to Fethiye harbour about 18:00 in the evening. The lunch is included in the tours which is usually pasta -meatballs (sometimes chicken or fish)- salad and fruit (water melon) (a good menu if you think that you're on water). If you want to enjoy the sun, then your place is upstairs; but be careful because, the sun burns you a bit too much and you don't feel it since it will be quite windy on the sea. You'll feel it at night after the shower, which usually ends up with the creams and lotions the doctor gives. But if you want to enjoy the tour in the shade and watch around, you'd better stay downstairs drinking your tea, coffee, or a cold drink (maybe playing backgammon with the crew). Day 08 Flight to Cappadocia / Free Afternoon After breakfast & check-out, you will be transferred to Dalaman airport for the flight back to Cappadocia. On your arrival to Cappadocia, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, which was carved in the landscape centuries or possibly 3000 years ago by its inhabitants. Remainder of day at your leisure. Day 09 North Cappadocia Tour We start our day with a gentle hike through orchards, unusual volcanic rock formations, rock-cut houses at Red Valley and (Pasabagi) where you will find the world known fairy chimneys. Visit the old Christian Village of Cavusin, followed by lunch break and then an excursion to Pigeon Valley. Then continue on to Goreme Open-Air Museum where you will visit the numerous rock carved churches, monasteries decorated with striking frescoes from early Christianity. Our last stop for the day will be the panoramic viewpoint offering spectacular views of the landscape from the natural rock castle at Uchisar. Day 10 South Cappadocia Tour After breakfast, another full day tour this time to visit the famous Derinkuyu Underground City, we'll walk through the underground city of Derinkuyu, where an entire community of Christians lived in a system of subterranean caves and tunnels for centuries without being noticed. Afterwards a short hike through the green Ihlara Valley along the stream and visiting some of the churches dug into the walls of the gorge. Stop in Belisirma village for lunch break and then continue on to Selime for a panoramic view. Our last stop will be at the Agzikarahan Caravanserai built by the Seljuk Turks to accommodate travelers on the ancient Silk Road. For this evening, you can consider the Whirling Dervishes Performance in Cappadocia. Day 11 Flight to Istanbul / Free Afternoon Today you will take the flight back to Istanbul, with the remainder of day at your leisure to take advantage of last minute shopping or relax with a Hamam ‘’Turkish Bath’’. Day 12 Departure / End of Service Option to extend package with additional night(s) in Istanbul or transfer directly on to Istanbul Airport for return international flight.
